Phoenix Suns Wins Game One
After four stringing losses in Game 1 over the years, the Phoenix Suns found the antidote to win game 1 of this years playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs. Steve Nash and company held their ground on every Spurs' rally in the 3rd and 4th quarter, winning 111-102 to take a 1-0 series lead. Nash leads Phoenix with 33 points and 10 assists while Jason Richardson, that could be the missing factor of the Suns matchup against the Spurs in so many years, added 27 points and Amare Stoudemire had 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Suns. The Spurs made spirited comebacks down the stretch but Suns held their own as they managed to withstood every Spurs challenge. Manu Ginobili, playing with a broken nose, lead the Spurs with 27 points, Tony Parker had 26 while Tim Duncan added 20 points, who will try to bounce back in game 2.
