In the third quarter, the Celtics responded a run on their own leading by as much as 10 points, 70-60. But Orlando surge a series of rallies and taste the lead once more on Carter's jumper making its a 90-89 count. But Kevin Garnett replied with a jumper on his own. With the Celtics leading 93-92, Pierce was fouled attempting a jumper and made the two charities making it 95-92. In the next play, Carter was fouled while getting to the hoop.
